Hey guys!! Welcome back to my blog. Once again, I’m participating in the weekly meme Top 5 Tuesday hosted by the wonderful Shanah, go check out her epic blog. This week’s topic is all about badass male characters. Now I’ve talked plenty about badass female characters on this blog, so I guess it’s time to be fair 🙂
Gilbert Blythe from Anne of Green Gables
I’m sorry, who? You didn’t expect me to choose a Canadian youth from a hundred years back from rural Avonlea, did you? Well, I’m telling you, if he isn’t badass I don’t know who is. Marrying Anne, alone, is a great feat – not to mention becoming a doctor and being the brilliant person he is… that is badass enough for me, thank you.
Gansey from The Raven Boys
GUYS. He’s badass ok, end of story. I know he’s geeky and nerdy but… first of all, he has a voice of a king – which is pretty badass if I do say so myself. He commanded animals to be awakened when they were dead in their graves and they awakened, which I think we can all agree is also hella badass. AND he was shown the way to Glendower by ravens. Hello, this is so badass. Go Gansey (we don’t care about you, Jace)!
Elias from An Ember in the Ashes
He said: “The field of battle is my temple. The swordpoint is my priest. The dance of death is my prayer. The killing blow is my release.” I rest my case.
Kaz from The Six of Crows
I KNEW Y’ALL WERE WAITING FOR IT. Kaz is the definition of badass and I was wondering how long I would be able to hold out before screaming his name before this list ended. He’s brave, daring, smart as heck, ruthless and very quick-witted. Badass to the core of his soul.
Mark Watney from The Martian
Let’s give the guy some credit, okay? HE ESCAPED FROM FREAKING MARS. MARS, I SAID.
What characters did you choose?
