WWW Wednesday – 19th June 2019

The first WWW Wednesday post since 13th March exactly. I’ve recently read an amazing book and am currently reading an amazing book, so let’s talk about it.

What are you currently reading?

I’m reading the 7 or 7 1/2 deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle, I started it last night and am currently around 40 pages through and am already so absolutely intrigued.

I was hooked from the first few lines because… wow are they something. It also kind of reminded me of The Maze Runner and some other movie I’ve watched (can’t really remember) but the premise is absolutely fascinating and I can’t wait to read more.

I love how although the main character doesn’t remember anything (it’s not a spoiler its on the first few lines, guys) he still has such a personality about him. I find that really interesting.

I’ve also just heard so many good things about this book in general so I’m really excited to see where the storyline is headed and whether it’s actually worth the huge hype surrounding it!

What have you recently read?

So I didn’t actually get a chance to talk about this in a first-impressions post because I whizzed through it in a day – it was that good!

The premise is such an intriguing one and from the very beginning I knew I was going to love this book and that I was finishing it today.

It took me really by surprise, it was one of those books I remember I had read about on Goodreads but what I had thought it was actually proved to be wrong so I think I got it mixed up with some other book… I had completely forgotten the actual premise so that surprise factor probably increased by enjoyment of it.

I didn’t know romance would be such a large factor in this book otherwise I probably wouldn’t have picked it up because I really dislike reading sexual content in books which leads me to skipping things, however I still really enjoyed this book and gave it 4 stars (a review will be coming soon) – prepare to be shocked when you read this book, guys.

What do you want to read next?

I have absolutely no idea. I have a bunch of stuff on my OverDrive and Kindle I want to get through. I also would love to finish The Count of Monte Cristo although I have 900 pages left which is kinda daunting… and considering I’m behind on my Goodreads goal I feel like I should try and catch up and then move onto longer books.

What are you currently reading, what have you recently read and what do you want to read next? 🙂

I’m currently reading The Night Circus so if you want to do a buddy read I don’t mind. No stress if you don’t 💕.

  2. The book you’re currently reading sounds super interesting… I’ve never heard about it, but a) the title sounds super intriguing and b) the protagonist doesn’t remember anything? It’s a mystery, isn’t it because if so, I think I’ll put it on my TBR and read it throughout the summer break!

  4. Interesting post. 😉 I am currently reading the Nancy Drew: Secret of Shadow Ranch, which is actually really good,😀 I wish I had read it earlier. I just finished All The Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr which was outstanding. Next I will read a classic: Emma by Jane Austen. You’re a big classics reader, have you read Emma? Is it actually good?

  5. Oh I love that Nancy Drew book! 🙂 I’m glad you liked All The Light We Cannot See – I think I started it last summer but I don’t think I was in the mood for it so I only got past chapter 1. I should try it again! Yes, I have read Emma and I absolutely loved it… maybe more than Pride and Prejudice? 🙂
