Helloooo! And welcome to my blog – Many Things Bookish.
As you may have already guessed, this blog will be about books (hence the name), but I will also talk a bit about writing on here too, since I love it as much as I love books (which is the cause of many internal wars as to whether I should read or write in my free-time).
There are a couple of reasons why I’ve started this blog:
- I love to read (as already mentioned), and so making this blog would be a fantastic opportunity to share my love of books to the world, which is so awesome 🙂
- I also love writing (as again, already mentioned), so writing about reading… is a pretty enjoyable thing for me
- This is also for my Girl Scouts Senior badge – to make a website/blog, which has turned out to be a convenient way to make this without giving my mother the impression I was “wasting my time”!
I’ll mostly be reviewing YA fiction books on here since I tend to read those the most, but as well as that, I will be reading/reviewing a range of other books too.
Here are a couple of random facts about me:
- I (along with my family) have a cat (let’s just say she came with the house) called Cat or The Cat (original, I know)
- from ages 9-13 I had a huge obsession over Anne of Green Gables, so in those four years, 99% of what I read was classics like To Kill a Mockingbird, The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, Little Women, and of course lots of other books by L. M. Montgomery like Emily of New Moon and The Story Girl
- My favourite subjects are English, History and Psychology (NO MATHS)
