50 Books to Smash your Summer (…in a good way)

Summer is upon us! Long days filled with sunshine, stretching out on a deck chair in the garden or lying on a beach… relaxing on the sofa or going on a road trip with your friends – either way, we all know that the way to great summers is reading great books… and so I’ve prepared a list of FIFTY books (a mixture of classics, fantasy, science and historical-fiction… there’s bound to be one for you) that I LOVE and will make your summer x100 awesome!

First-Impressions: Frankenstein

I have always meant to read Frankenstein – it’s been on my list with Wuthering Heights, Pride and Prejudice, Jane Eyre and all the rest of it.

I had no idea I’d enjoy it this much. I did not enjoy Wuthering Heights and didn’t finish it, but now I realise it was due to me simply following the storyline, and not actually understanding any of the many deeper meanings to the book. The deeper meanings to Frankenstein, however, is something I’m feeling much more keenly, and enjoying even more.
