I was so excited to read this book. First of all, the cover. It’s GORGEOUS 😍. Secondly, it’s well-known on this blog I am a sucker for YA fantasy and the whole reclaim-your-kingdom trope (which is one I feel I will never tire of)… so long as the author has a way of doing it to make it refreshingly original. And because I read a lot of YA fantasy, I found quite a few bits really predictable, especially towards the last 100 pages.  Continue reading “Ash Princess”
