Favourite Books by Female Authors | Thursday Discussion

I’ve read Ally’s Thursday Discussion post’s for months, but for some reason this is my first time participating?!! Yes, I know there is something wrong with me.

The Huntress by Kate Quinn

I don’t think I’m ever going to stop talking about this book. It hooked me in with its supremely interesting and definitely horrifying premise and I was unable to stop reading. I cried without realising I was crying. I laughed until my stomach hurt. Otherwise, I was dead silent as I watched in a mixture of increasing horror and mesmerisation as this magnificently crafted story unfolded.

Heartless by Marissa Meyer

This book also took me completely by surprise, which is probably one of the main reasons why I enjoyed this so much. I didn’t expect to find a hilarious and colourful but dark (look my thoughts are confused from the amazingness) story that will without a doubt make you starving.

The Wicked King by Holly Black

You could read my review… but it’s mostly me screaming about how amazing this book was and how I am shattered and how I CANNOT wait for The Queen of Nothing to come out. The sheer smartness of this book is staggering. It will punch you and punch you and punch you. I honestly have nothing else to describe this book, read it at your own risk.

  2. Love this post! You are absolutely 100% right about The Wicked King!!!!!!!!!OMG I can’t wait for Queen of Nothing – I’m SOOOOO exited to finally read the ending and be sure about Cardan’s identity and intentions because if there is one character I can’t figure out – it’s him!
