YES today we are finishing the alphabet! I did it guys, I DID IT. I admit the last three letters took me ages, but I did it. Top 5 Tuesday is a weekly meme, and this month it was on titles from A-Z. I’m so proud of everyone who managed to finish the entire alphabet as well! šš It was definitely a challenge. See my three A-T posts here, here and here.
The Unexpected Everything by Morgan Matson
This is apparently the perfect summer read – and since it’s summer – what better time to read it than now? It seems like a really fun and quirky read and I’m so excited. Andie sounds like the coolest protagonist ever, and since it hints at dealing with a parent-and-daughter-relationship that does not consist of the teen acting like a brat (and I’m a teen so I can so say that), I’m all for it!
Vicious by V. E. Schwab
OKAY so I LOVE Victoria Schwab but haven’t actually read the two series that made her so famous?? I read The Archived and The Unbound in the space of 1.5 days and was absolutely engrossed. I’ve heard SO MUCH about this series that I don’t even know what to say I guess?? One thing this book screams to me is smartness and we all love a smart book.
Wicked Saints by Emily A. Duncan
This book was somehow only published in April of this year but I swear I saw gushing reviews of this coming out exactly a year ago. So idk??? I’ve been wanting to read it forever. Assassination and stopping wars along with two unique characters? Sounds like a great fantasy premise and I’m all for it.
X by Ilyasah Shabazz and Kekla Magoon
One story that I really love in history is about Malcolm X. It’s a bit of a controversial one, but I’m going to say it anyway. He was apart of the ‘Nation of Islam’ and said a lot of wrong things, but then after the leader of that group was exposed in some way, he left the group and founded his own. That same year he went on Hajj (Muslim pilgrimage) and discovered the real Islam, and was shocked to see how there were millions of people all different colours standing, walking, talking and praying together. He then converted. At least, that’s my understanding of the story from what I’ve read – and I would love to read and learn more about him š
Yumi by Renee Ahdieh
I loved Flame in the Mist and although Smoke in the Sun was such a huge disappointment I would love to learn more about Yumi in this short story!
Z: A Novel of Zelda Fitzgerald
I learned about flappers in history and I think it would be absolutely fascinating to read the story of the first female flapper (although I think she is fictional, but the author has said that she made very thorough research so everything about the book other than the existence of this person herself is real, I think)! She also meets F. Scott Fitzgerald, as in the author of The Great Gatsby, which is just insanely amazing.
SO THAT’S IT!! I still can’t get over how I completed this challenge, I didn’t think I’d be able to do it which was why I missed the first week but then combined the two on the second week! What do you think of the books mentioned here? š
Great list!!!! You kind of make me want to give VE Schwab another shot, as I stopped reading A Darker Shade of Magic a while ago … but now I really want to continue BUT, of course, took it out of my suitcase at home because it was too heavy, I knew I was going to regret it haha!

You’ve gotta read Vicious!! It’s an amazing book with anti-heroes and a scientific experiment that I surprisingly really liked and wanted to know more about (I don’t like science much…š)! Congrats on getting through this!
