Hey everyone! Sorry I haven’t posted in a bit over a fortnight – life has been bonkers, and kudos to all you book bloggers out there who’s posts are consistently landing in my inbox, I don’t know how you do it!
Many thanks to the lovely Blogger Books for nominating me in this award! If you haven’t checked her amazing blog out already, I would highly recommend it because it’s just amazing and she’s just amazing!
Have you read any outstanding books this year and if yes, which ones?
Frankenstein and Jane Eyre
Which upcoming releases are you most excited for and why?
THE QUEEN OF NOTHING!!! And we have a cover!!! Oh my goshhhhhh I’m so hyped for this one I cannot even express how pumped I am.
What’s your favourite genre and why?
YA fantasy all the way… because literally ANYTHING can happen.
If you could read only one trope, which would it be?
Badass female characters.
In a great fantasy, which do you value more: atmosphere or magic system?
Atmosphere because I feel like atmospheres are so key to books, and also because personally I don’t like reading about magic, just a personal preference.
Are there any characters you can relate to personally?
I can relate to Anne Shirley on a spiritual level.
What annoys you most about books?
They require time!!
Is there anything (even if it’s just a small detail) you would like to change about your favorite book?
A certain death in Rilla of Ingleside.
What aspects based on do you chose what book you’ll read next?
Genre, sexual content (I like to avoid books containing those or at least ensure that it’s not the main thing or anything like that) and what other book reviewers say.
What’s your go-to comfort reread?
Anne of Green Gables. It might sound so weird, but rereading those books is like returning to a place like home.
Do you think you’ll be still reading the same genre/books/tropes/authors ten years from now?
If I did I would certainly be disappointed with myself. I feel like as a person I have so much growing to do so naturally I’d assume my taste in books would change, too. I hope I would have moved on from Young Adult fiction to more Adult books that would be more relevant to my life and a lot more Islamic history books which I’m already working on now. I doubt I’d have time to whiz off to a fairytale land in ten years time, just thinking about how old I’ll be in ten years time scares the heck out of me.
However, I hope I’ll still be posting on this blog about books, even if it’s rarely! Chatting about books is just one of the best ways to spend your time.
I nominate:
No pressure if you don’t want to do it! Have an amazing rest of the weekend, everyone! Speak soon 🙂
Thanks for the tag! 🙂

Thank you so much for the nomination! And yay for Jane Eyre! But also I agree. Why must books require so much of our time?! I wish I could read all the books in the world without worrying about time or responsibilities. But alas, the world just won’t allow me to that.

Your answers are everything!!!! And I totally agree with the books you’re gonna read in ten years, I would be kind of worried if YA was the only genre I’d be reading when I’m completely grown up!
