Hey guys and oh my gosh it feels like forever since I participated in good old Top 5 Tuesday, hosted by the lovely Shanah.
The Help
I won’t lie, the main reason I love this book so freaking much is because of the golden friendship between Skeeter, Abileen and Minny. It is literally the most beautiful thing on this Earth, and the fun relationship they have with each other is absolutely goals, especially towards the end. Minny is absolutely hilarious, Abileen is the sweetest and Skeeter is just about the coolest character ever. Together, they make one of the most entertaining and loveable trio out of all the books I’ve read, and in the movie, it’s no exception either. Honestly love them all to pieces.
Six of Crows
Now I’m sure someone must have seen this coming. The main reason everyone is absolutely obsessed with Six of Crows is the epic cast, and the very special friendship that they have with one another. Each crew member is diverse, different and special in their own way, which makes for an even better friendship with one another, as every character has an important contribution to the storyline and just the whole amazing atmosphere of the book as a whole. I think everyone can agree the friendship between the characters in this book is one of the best in YA books.
Anne of Green Gables
Ok how can I leave out Anne and Diana? Ever since they made that solemn promise in Diana’s garden, over imaginary running water, that they would be “faitfhful” to each “bosom friend”, as long as “the sun and moon shall endure”, their friendship has been a beautiful thing ripening and blooming throughout all of the Anne of Green Gables books, especially the first two. This friendship was also the first that I read that I loved so much, as Anne of Green Gables was my obsession, the occupation of my heart, for the course of 3 years.
The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn
The relationship between Jim and Huck Finn is also classical. It can be agreed that the book is a classic in itself, but I personally feel their relationship has a good deal to do with it. This book made for so many laughs, I remember reading it when I was 11 and absolutely squealing over some bits and my siblings just staring at me. Huck’s adventures would hardly be the same – hardly as entertaining or amusing or meaningful – without his friendship with Jim.
Little Women
The friendship between sisters in this book, as they grow into young women, is certainly one of the most precious and pure friendships I have read. The relationship between sisters, can at time be especially troublesome, but I’m finding, that the older I grow, the less my sister and I fight, and the more we value one another as best friends. I feel like this is very well portrayed in this book, and I think it can be decided by all that this book would not be the classic it is, without the beautiful friendship between the four sisters.

The Help is such a smart pick! It’s a perfect fit, I can’t believe I didn’t think of that.
I haven’t read Six of Crows yet, but I bought the book last week, so I’m really excited to find out about that particular group of friends 🙂
