No, I have shamefully not finished this yet. I’m putting this down to too much fantasy, and just not being in the mood for it yet. But, the other day I started it again, and now that I’m on the second chapter, I have a lot more interest.
I don’t think it’s because I set my expectations too high, I think it’s because I just wasn’t in the mood for that type of story, but I feel like I am now.
As soon as the narrative switched towards the palace, I was hooked, because I can literally never get enough of fantasies surrounding royalty and kingship and all of that fancy jazz.
I just find it so intriguing. Now I am even more intrigued. But because I started Flame in the Mist, I’m also officially torn. So.
It’s all about giving books a chance. Just reading until the end could completely change your view of a book. I DNF a lot of books, so I shouldn’t really be the one saying this (lol) but it has happened to me before, so!
I really want to read this book, but the more I want to read it probably the less I’ll actually read it. I don’t know? That’s just how it is sometimes... maybe after Flame in the Mist I’ll get more into this book.
I am determined not to DNF it! I must know what the hype is, and I know I should enjoy it, if I just keep going. There are just so many distractions!!!
