September Releases I NEED

Hey everyone, and with September and the start of the academic year and the increase of my workload – comes a whole load of awesome, amazing, spectacular, beautiful BOOKS so in this post I’m going to be talking about a few that I am super duper excited about that are being released this month 🙂

The Priory of the Orange Tree by Samantha Shannon

Image result for the priory of the orange treeI just thought I’d let you know this has been replaced with a paragraph about how much I love Shannon Hale’s books until I realised that they were not written by Samantha Shannon. Ahaha. The Bone Season by this author has been on my TBR for over a year now and it’s disgraceful I need to get to it it’s so intriguing, but for now, all attention is centred on this beast of a book.

I’m in the hugest fantasy mode right now. Before, I thought I was kind of veering off fantasy but after starting the Ash Princess I’m full-swing back into it, and just in time, as well.

This book is apparently an epic fantasy and anything kingdom/queendom related is 10/10 something I would go for because I love books like that!! Also… DRAGONS. How can you not resist?!! Although it’s 800+ pages I’m SO SO exciteddd!!

A Very Large Expanse of Sea by Tahereh Mafi

I’d be interested to see whether this book lives up to that in any sense. Though I doubt I will get to this very soon it is on my TBR and I am very interested to see how the author comes about doing this.

I also haven’t read any books by this author before!

But I have read Ms Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children by her husband (Ransom Riggs) which I really loved so I sincerely hope I love this one!

Kingdom of Ash by Sarah J. Maas

Image result for kingdom of ashI’ve just realised I’ve been spelling Sarah J. Maas’s last name wrong for… a while. *facepalm* I’m sorry to anyone who noticed in any of my previous posts!

But basically, how can I leave this out? To be honest, even though I said in this post I would read it, I’m still actually not sure. Lol.

Because apparently I have to read Tower of Dawn and I really don’t want to.

And plus I’m really not a fan of all the heavy romance and I will have to skip it all.

BUT ITS THE FINALE. BUT I NEED TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENS NEXT. BUT- Let me know what you think I should do. Maybe I’ll wait for a few reviews to come out and then decide…

Two Dark Reigns by Kendare Blake

Image result for two dark reignsSo I kind of can’t leave this out. If you’ve been following this blog for a while, you know I love Three Dark Crowns and really enjoyed One Dark Throne and on the whole like the series (so far).

Is this the finale? I really don’t know. But I just saw a few reviews on Goodreads and this book seems to be pretty good from what I’ve seen, which makes me even more excited to pick this up.

One thing I know I won’t appreciate is things being dragged on and on, which this book, considering the current situation, has the potential to be, but anyway, we’ll see about that when I get to it! 🙂

Anyways, those are my top releases for September which I am dying to read! Let me know what you guys think about these titles, and what is your top release for September?

Speak soon!

  2. I read till Queen of Shadows and keep looking away from Empire of Storms in the bookstore ONLY because of the romance 😒. Plus, Queen of Shadows doesn’t end on a major cliffhanger so I’m safe for now 🙃. I want to read Kingdom of Ash but…Then I have to read Empire of Storms AND Tower of Dawn… and I don’t want to either 🤦‍♀️.
I love S.J.Maas but her books are so heavy. *sigh* ☹️
PS: Also another reason why I’m not going near ACOTAR anytime in the future.
