The Count of Monte Cristo
First-Impressions from Chp.1-11: There might not be that many book reviews coming soon guys – because THIS BOOK IS 1200 PAGES LONG. And I am not a fast reader, despite, how it may seem so considering all the books that I’ve reviewed on here and all. Not that I’ve never Googled how to read fast *cough*. I want to finish this book. Now that I’m already such a magnificent portion into it (a humble 8%) and already so deep into the story, I really have to know what happens next. I’ll be lucky if I finish this by the end of August though. And if this wasn’t the summer holidays I wouldn’t have much of a chance with this. The longest book I have read is probably around 800 pages. Winter by Marissa Meyer took me 2 days and The Woman in White took me a month. Hopefully, I intend to finish some other books on the sidelines as I plough my way through this beast of a book. The thing is it’s quite a difficult read. I’m not too much of an advanced reader, I admit. I read YA books, in modern English. The dialogue can be a bit dense and confusing sometimes, so not gonna lie, I did need to hop onto Shmoop chapter summaries (lifesaver) to help clear some things up for myself. But I do have high hopes for this book, so I’m just going to continue delving my way through this!
